Animals rescued at kennel fire, given shelter at Buckley's Tavern

Not that I need one, but here's a reason to visit Buckley's Tavern in Centerville.

From delawareonline.com:
"Buckley's Tavern became a temporary animal shelter Thursday evening after the neighboring Centerville Veterinary Hospital caught fire.

Laura Greeley and Laura Nilsen, both of Chadds Ford, Pa., were returning home with another friend when they saw black smoke rising from the veterinary hospital on Kennett Pike shortly after 5 p.m.

Greeley said she ran to Buckley's to ask for help, and several restaurant employees joined in the rescue effort. The restaurant, which Greeley said was hosting a private event on the second floor, took in about 25 animals, mostly dogs."
